An engaging conversationalist, he creates a welcoming, enjoyable experience while truly listening to his clients’ needs.
Mateo’s career began with Paulina Porizkova during Fashion Week, leading to an incredible opportunity touring with Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band for seven years. He has also worked with top artists like Billy Joel, Gwen Stefani, Ricky Martin, and Adele.
In addition to hairstyling, Mateo is a certified esthetician, specializing in RF (Radio Frequency) skin treatments.

JT is a multifaceted professional with a passion for both creative and operational excellence. As a master barber, JT excels in old-school barbering techniques, offering clients everything from high and tight cuts to temp fades, along with classic straight-edge shaves and relaxing scalp massages. His precision and attention to detail ensure that every client leaves looking and feeling their best.
Beyond the barber chair, JT serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Mateo House of Beauty. In this role, he oversees all behind-the-scenes operations, with a focus on promoting the business and refining its brand and image.
Dr. Brenda Balch
LICENSED MEDICAL SPA CLINICIAN
Dr. Balch oversees all clinical protocols and ensuring the highest standards of care for our clients. She is responsible for reviewing and managing client consent and contraindication forms, ensuring that all treatments are both safe and effective. Dr. Balch specializes in overseeing RF (Radio Frequency) and IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) services, providing expert guidance for skin treatments that include skin tightening, wrinkle reduction, acne treatment, and skin resurfacing.
Our spa utilizes advanced V20 technology, offering clients cutting-edge solutions to enhance their appearance and rejuvenate their skin. With Dr. Balch’s extensive expertise and careful attention to client safety, she ensures each client receives personalized care and optimal treatment outcomes.

Nina brings both warmth and expertise to every client experience at MHOB. Known for her welcoming presence and attention to detail, she ensures each visit feels comfortable and seamless from start to finish.
For the last year, she has trained under Mateo and Dr. Balch, honing her skills and deepening her knowledge of advanced skincare. Her thoughtful approach and skilled techniques are designed to rejuvenate the skin, relax the mind, and leave every guest feeling refreshed and confident.
